Well folks. It’s happened. “Warm” weather has finally hit Chicago and you better believe I’m taking advantage of every second. Lucky for me, the warmest days keep falling on the weekends. This change in temperature has also brought guests, visitors, family and friends allowing me to see the city like a tourist once again.
The past few weeks have been chock-full of touristy activities including visiting Shedd Aquarium, making a necessary pit stop at the bean, strolling along the “big water,” stopping for ice cream at Navy Pier and of course admiring the city’s buildings from the Chicago Riverwalk. I even managed to squeeze a Sox game into the mix (although a Cubs game would have been preferable).
While I’ve been in and out of the city for the past couple years for various jobs, I haven’t had the chance to see the city as a tourist and jumped at the chance when it came about. Sometimes all you need is a lunch date at Millenium Park to remind you why people from near and far come to visit the Windy City.
